A recommendation is a link with high value (relevant, interesting or remarkable) from an outside link corpus.
The core principle of the Linxpy Serendipity Engine for recommendations is that recommendations are based upon the similarities and differences between two link lists (yours and another one’s).
Upon receiving recommendations for a specific link list, you can accept, deny or hide them. Accepting a recommendation adds the link to your link list.
As a consequence of the core principle, your links might be recommended to others as well. If you want to exclude specific link(s) from the Serendipity Engine of Linxpy, you must lock your link (Edit Link).

Getting recommendations
A tag can have an indicator of the number of recommendations waiting for triage. Selecting the tag brings you to its recommendations.

You can adjust the number of suggested recommendations and their ‘surprise level’ in the tag profile.

Example recommendations

Hide and collapse recommendations
Because sometimes you want hide the recommendations, you can collapse them for all link lists. Recommendations will remain visible in your link list.
