Introducing Linxpy

Linxpy (the Otlet edition) is a social bookmark serendipity engine to create, maintain and share self-curated syllabi.

Inspiration for this engine comes from the life and work of the information science pioneer Paul Otlet (1868-1944), who was a Belgian visionary thinker, documentalist and peace activist. Otlet played a crucial role in developing early ideas about organizing and sharing knowledge, laying the groundwork for concepts that would later evolve into the internet and hypertext.

Linxpy [ˈlɪŋkspaɪ, from link-spy] maintains your valuable sources of information on the web and proposes new resources that might be of interest. Serendipitously.

Seven first principles

Linxpy flourishes according to seven first (heuristic) principles, driving its vision, concepts, and design.

  1. Life is about the joy of discovery and exploration.
  2. Humans harbour a fundamental need to connect.
  3. Value, meaning and creativity reside in the connection.
  4. Sharing is a social activity.
  5. You can’t predict what people are interested in. You can guess.
  6. Accepting or denying advice, recommendations, or suggestions determine the direction of growth.
  7. Fun is the best motivation to work on a project.

Linxpy came into controlled circulation in 2025. So, you can subscribe to our newsletter, follow us on Bluesky (@linxpy.bsky.social) or join our waiting list for priority access.
